Who we are

Ive is a product of Reveriext Inc. (“Reveriext”). It is one hosted system that keeps, for each organisation that uses it, that organisation’s brand, its knowledge and its marketing material. You can only use Ive if one of Ive’s administrators added you: there is no public sign-up.

Reveriext Inc. is a Delaware corporation in the United States. Questions about this page, and requests about what Ive keeps about you, go to hello@reveriext.com.

The usual split applies. For what an organisation keeps in Ive (its pages, files, collateral and the details its people fill in) the organisation decides what is kept and why, and Reveriext handles it only to run Ive for that organisation and on its instructions. For what Ive keeps about who exists and how Ive is used (above), Reveriext decides, and uses it to run, secure and look after Ive. Where the law that applies to you names these roles differently, the roles are those it names for the same split.

How Ive keeps organisations apart

Every organisation has a database and a file store of its own. What an organisation writes and uploads (its pages, files, collateral, comments, the details its people fill in) is kept there and nowhere else, and is never placed beside another organisation’s.

Beside them Ive keeps one small database of its own, which says who exists, who belongs to which organisation, and how much Ive is used. It never holds anything an organisation wrote.

What Ive keeps about you

Who you are, in Ive’s own database

  • Your email address, your first and last name, and your sign-in account’s id.
  • How you tell the time and write dates, if you set it: your language and region, time zone, the order of dates and the clock.
  • When you were added and by whom, when you first signed in and when you were last seen.
  • The organisations you belong to, your role in each (admin or member), the apps you were given there, and whether you are marked a designer or an editor.

How much Ive is used

  • For each day (in UTC) you use an organisation: the first and last time you were seen that day, how many hours you were seen in, and whether you came in through the app or through an assistant. Nobody who was refused is written down.
  • For each organisation and day: counts of what was made, changed, approved, presented and downloaded, how many people were active, how many calls assistants made and to which tools, how many searches found nothing, and how much it stores. These are numbers only: no title, file name, search or anything anybody wrote leaves the organisation.

What your organisation keeps, in its own database

  • Whatever you and your colleagues write and upload: pages, files, collateral, brand records, comments, and every version of them.
  • Your profile, if you fill it in: name, title, email, phone numbers, LinkedIn, location and photo, used to make your visiting card, ID card, banners and email signature.
  • An audit trail of every change: who made it, when, and, through an assistant, which connection and which client.

An admin of your organisation can open every version you make there, and Ive tells you so where you make one.

When an administrator acts

Every change asked of Ive’s own administration (adding a person, setting an organisation up) is written down with who asked, what was sent and what came of it.

Signing in

Sign-in is provided by Clerk. When you are added, Clerk is given your email address and name and makes you an account with no password: you sign in with a code Clerk sends to your email. Clerk keeps your account and the organisations you belong to; Ive’s own database mirrors who belongs where, and asks Clerk again about anybody it has not confirmed in the last five minutes. Only Ive’s gateway signs you in; the part of Ive that holds an organisation’s content never sees your session.

Where it is kept

Ive runs on Cloudflare: its servers are Cloudflare Workers, an organisation’s database is a Cloudflare D1 database and its files are in a Cloudflare R2 bucket.

  • An organisation’s database and files are made in one region, chosen when it is set up, and stay there; an organisation may instead be kept inside the European Union. To be quick for people far from that region, Ive asks Cloudflare to keep read-only copies of an organisation’s database in its other regions (read replication) when the organisation is set up.
  • Where an organisation finds things by meaning, the text of what is in use is turned into numbers by Cloudflare’s Workers AI and kept in a search index of that organisation’s own.
  • Pictures may be resized by Cloudflare to the widths Ive shows them at.

An organisation’s database and files stay in the region chosen for them, but a request is handled by Cloudflare’s servers where it arrives, or near the database where Smart Placement is on, so what is handled may pass through other countries on the way. Clerk keeps accounts where it operates, and an assistant’s provider handles what it is given where it operates. Where the law that applies to you asks for a safeguard before personal data crosses a border, Reveriext relies on the safeguards its providers offer and, where needed, puts them in place with them. To ask which apply to you, write to hello@reveriext.com.

Cookies and what is kept in your browser

Ive uses no cookies for advertising or analytics. It uses these:

  • Clerk’s sign-in cookies, such as __session and __client_uat on Ive’s address and __client on Clerk’s own, which keep you signed in.
  • ive_d1 , set by Ive for two minutes after you change something, so the next thing you read shows your change. It names a point in your organisation’s database, not you.

The app also remembers some choices in your browser’s own storage: which panels you folded, which view of a list you chose, which part of a page you had open. They stay in your browser and are never sent to Ive.

Assistants

You may connect an AI assistant to Ive. It connects by you signing in (OAuth), never with a key, and it acts as you: it is given what you may see and do at that moment, and no more. Every change it makes is written down as yours, made through that assistant. You see your connections in My profile and can end any of them there.

What Ive gives an assistant then travels to whoever provides that assistant, under that provider’s own terms. An organisation can turn off, for every assistant, reading its brand, its knowledge, its files or its people’s copies, writing, and links.

Ive keeps the grants it made to assistants, with their tokens stored hashed, and the last time each was used, which it forgets 35 days after that use.

What anybody can fetch

A mail program shows the pictures in an email signature only from an address anybody can fetch. So a picture an organisation chooses for its signatures is served at an address that names neither the organisation nor the file, for as long as a signature uses it. Mail programs and their proxies may keep a copy for an hour.

An assistant may be given a link to one file, good for ten minutes, to take it out of Ive. Nothing else is given to anybody who has not signed in.

How long it is kept

  • Something deleted goes to the organisation’s recycle bin for 90 days, from where it can be restored; after that, or once it is deleted from the bin, it is gone.
  • Deleting an organisation removes its servers, its database, its search index, every file and its file store, and its sign-in organisation. This cannot be undone.
  • What an organisation keeps, its audit trail included, is kept until it is deleted or the organisation is.
  • Records of who was active and how much Ive is used are kept with no set end; nothing in Ive removes them. They hold days, times and counts and nothing an organisation wrote, and they name a person only by Ive’s own id for them. When somebody leaves an organisation their earlier days stay, since they were active on them.
  • Cloudflare keeps the logs of Ive’s servers, which may include the addresses asked for and errors, for the time its Workers Logs keep them.

Your choices and rights

You can read and change your own details in My Space at any time, and end your assistants’ connections in My profile. An admin of your organisation can remove you from it.

The law that applies to you may give you rights over personal data held about you: to know what is held and to have a copy, to have it corrected, to have it deleted or its use restricted, to object to some uses, to receive it in a form you can carry, and to withdraw a consent you gave. To use any of them, write to hello@reveriext.com. For what your organisation keeps, the organisation decides, and Reveriext helps it to answer you. We may need to confirm who you are first, and we answer without undue delay.

You may also complain to the data protection authority where you live.

To ask about anything on this page, write to hello@reveriext.com.

Changes to this page

When what Ive does with what it keeps changes, this page changes with it, and the date at its top says when. Ive sends no notices of its own (it does not even email somebody it adds), so when a change matters to what people have agreed to, Reveriext will tell each organisation’s admins at the address Ive has for them and ask them to tell their people.
